MICHA GOŁAWSKI


 

Pianist, an opera singer, a vocal tutor. A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, in the piano class of prof. Andrzej Jasiński. He has won competitions in Poland and abroad. He received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Arts and from the Mayor of Katowice. He participated in piano courses of such outstanding personalities as: Krystian Zimerman, Zbigniew Raubo, Józef Stompel, Joseph Bannovetz, Aleksei Orlovetzky and Lee Kum Sing.


 

He also studied solo singing at his alma mater in Katowice, under the supervision of prof. Jan Ballarin and  Adam Szerszeń, PhD. He has been working with singers as a vocal tutor for over 10 years. In the 2015/2016 artistic season, he participated in the Young Talents Development Programme at the Opera Academy organised by the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, where he studied with an outstanding pianist and vocal coach – Eytan Pessen. In the years 2016-2021 he worked as a pianist-répétiteur at the opera house in Frankfurt am Main and had a chance to know the international opera world. Both as a pianist-répétiteur and an opera singer, he took part in numerous vocal courses conducted by outstanding  opera singers and teachers such as: Izabella Kłosińska, Helena Łazarska, Marek Rzepka, Kaludi Kaludov, Jerzy Marchwiński, Ewa Podleś, Vladimir Kuzmenko, Wiesław Ochman, Piotr Beczala, Mariusz Kwiecień, Edith Wiens, Eva Blahová, Felice Venanzoni, Takeshi Moriuchi, Hedwig Fassbender, Brigitte Fassbaender, Helmut Deutsch, Eytan Pessen, Matthias Rexroth and Neil Shicoff. He accompanied singers during many vocal competitions, often receiving awards for the best pianist at such events.
