Accompanists

ROMAN MARCHENKO

A pianist and a répétiteur. Born in Lviv, he graduated from the M. Lysenko Academy of Music in Lviv. During his studies, he began working as an accompanist and a chamber musician. In 2016, he became a laureate of the V. Povzun Competition of Chamber Ensembles in Odessa (Ukraine). In 2019, he received a special prize at the ProArt-2019 International Piano Competition – a workshop and a concert in Vienna, as well as a scholarship from the Esperus Art Fund to participate in the Esperus Music Academy (Monpazier, France).

As an accompanist, he has collaborated with the National Philharmonic and the Academy of Music in Lviv. He has participated in vocal competitions where he received awards for best accompaniment. Since 2021, he has been a participant in the Young Talents Development Programme at the Opera Academy in Warsaw, where he received a scholarship to participate in the Exzellenz Labor Oper in Weikersheim. Since 2021, he has been a répétiteur at the Silesian Opera in Bytom.
